PHOTO DAY
Photo Day is coming up next week (Sept 17), and we are looking for three or four parent volunteers to help support the photographers. If you are able to help, please send a note in your child’s agenda to the homeroom teacher or email the homeroom teacher directly. Thank you in advance for your support!
CURRICULUM INFORMATION NIGHT
We invite parents/guardians to our Curriculum Information Night on Wednesday, September 24th, at 6:30 p.m. During the evening, you will have the opportunity to visit your child’s classroom and receive important, class-specific information from their teacher. Please note that this is an adult-only event, as teachers have a limited amount of time to share essential details. Childcare will be provided for school-age children only (no babies or toddlers), with limited spaces available, and families are asked to call the school in advance to register. 780 469 2451

PRINCIPAL’S CHALLENGE – something new!
Each month, I will be inviting students, families, and classes to take part in a special challenge designed to support physical health, mental well-being, personal and spiritual growth, and academic success. These challenges will be simple and fun, and we encourage you to support your child in participating as much as possible. We would also love for you to share photos of your child/family taking part—our goal is to create a monthly collage that celebrates the wonderful efforts and achievements of our students.

LUNCH WITH THE PRINCIPAL – we are continuing the fun!
We are excited to continue our Lunch with the Principal program this year, as it was such good fun last year. To participate, students simply write their name and class on a slip of paper and place it in the special box in the office. Each month, one student will be randomly selected to enjoy lunch with the principal, and a friend or sibling will be invited to join them. As a special treat, the winning student will choose their favourite lunch, which will be ordered for them.
SCHOOL FEES
A reminder that school fees are due by the end of the month. For our Junior High families, course fees will be posted on PowerSchool on October 1st. We kindly ask for your prompt attention to this important matter, as these fees help us continue to provide excellent learning experiences and fun opportunities for our students.

Casino – we need volunteers!
We are also excited about our upcoming Casino, which is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we encourage you to take this opportunity to sign up and get involved. So many educational and recreational enhancements would not be possible without casino funds.
Please click on the SignUpGenius link below to sign up for your preferred slot. There are various daytime and evening positions available during the two-day casino on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, and Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025. Please refer to the Volunteer Positions Duties & Responsibilities document attached for role descriptions.

No experience is necessary! Training will be provided. All volunteers receive complimentary meals and beverages during their shift. Feel free to invite a friend to sign up and join you! All are welcome, and you do not need to have a student at the school. Check with your workplace, as some employers offer their employees time off work for community volunteering.
Thank you for volunteering and contributing to your child’s school experience!
